Bringing Nature Inside | Design Trend | Interior Design

22-08-2011 Design Trend: Bringing Nature in

No matter who you are, it’s a fact – humans are drawn to nature. The beauty of an azure ocean, the overwhelming tree stumps of a green forest or even the vastness of a remote desert. It’s a shame then that many city dwellers who work all day in office cubicles remain so very far from these natural wonders of the world. But thanks to the popularity of a new design trend, people are bringing “nature” indoors. Think floral cutouts for curtains, a photographic forest feature wall, multiple indoor plants on tables and applying natural gravel beside the wall of a hallway. The sound of a water fountain can calm nerves just as well as if you were sitting by a river. A constructed space incorporating natural elements may not supply you with the fresh air of the great outdoors but the new décor can help you to sit back and 301 Moved Permanently relax after that long day of grey.
