01-06-2009 Not just your Average Joe stalker

´I don’t give a twitter if someone is looking at olives on isle four third shelf up.´ - Anonymous

Apparently Kanye West doesn´t like Twitter. The outspoken rapper mentioned on his blog that the micro blogging site allows users to set up accounts under fake names, thus impersonating celebrities. But Tim O´Reilly, Web 2.0 and computer technology expert, loves Twitter, he even wrote an article about it. ´Twitter has grown up to become a critical business tool´. The logic is that it is simple to use, you can stay connected with family and friends, it puts you closer to your favourite celebrities (maybe too close) and works the way people do. So "Stalkernomics" refers to online stalking but is not limited to stalking for personal use because businesses do it, too. If you want to stalk someone in real life, it might take some guts and some dark sunnies and maybe even a fake moustache, but thanks to some social networking sites, anyone can be a stalker!
